Happy Scrappy Friends | Scrap Recipe

Hello everyone and welcome to the monthly Happy Scrappy Friends blog hop challenge! This month's challenges is a recipe of things to use on our project. The ingredients are:

  • cardstock or patterned paper for the base
  • sequins
  • two different alphas
  • watercolors
  • something gold or silver

Sounds good, doesn't it? Except that for someone who leans toward CAS with watercolor cards this can be a lot of stuff. So, I tricked. Maybe. Just a little...

First, I combined two ingredients in that some of my sequins are silver. Also, you may ask yourself "Where's the second alpha, ma'am?" - look again! I found two alphabets a little overwhelming for the smaller canvas of a card and decided to use just one for the sentiment. The second alpha is blind debossed all over the watercolor panel.

Also, if you wonder about that gorgeous mint/green color, it's a new favorite from the Neocolor II pastels, Jade Green, and just some sprinkles of Lime Green for some more depth.

Hope you like my take on the challenge - despite or because of my, ahem, creative interpretation of the recipe items. Now, here's the full blog hop list for your reference and inspiration:

If you want to take on the challenge for a chance to win a surprise supply package, please also visit the challenge blog to enter. Happy hopping!

ETA: So sorry to be late with my post, guys! Obviously, the scheduler of the new blog and I are not talking the same clock language. Repeat after me: A.M. ≠ P.M!
