Happy Scrappy Friends | Stitching & Sewing

Welcome, to our Happy Scrappy Friends blog hop! You probably arrived from Cathleen's blog and already know this: We've made this months challenge about sewing and stitching. Sewing adds a nice texture to a project without making things too bulky (Cardmakers, you know what I mean, right? Standing in line for hand cancelling, anyone?). Also, it's great to use with (semi-) transparent papers like vellum, which usually don't work very well with regular glues.

As you can see above, I didn't stop at my regular machine-stitching but also tried my hands on a hand-stitched pattern. The background (faux letter-pressed with a large triangle pattern die) helped me to settle for a simple free form arrow pattern. It was done in just a few minutes!

I hope my sample could give you an idea and inspiration to get your needles & twine out. If so, please participate in the challenge and enter your project on the HSF blog (linked last on the blog hop list):

Thanks for hopping by and happy weekend!
